History and origins
Menya Musashi, with its main store in Shinjuku, Tokyo, was founded in 1996. It has now expanded its stores mainly in Tokyo and is a chain that is extremely popular with tourists from overseas as a famous Ramen restaurant in Japan.
What's interesting is that each store has its own unique theme, and the unique menu is the secret to its popularity. Even within the same "Menya Musashi" chain, there are some dishes that can only be enjoyed at a specific store, which is one of the attractions.
Ramen soup is a "double soup" made with both animal and seafood ingredients, and the fun part is that the flavor of this soup also changes depending on the store. It's a truly one-of-a-kind flavor that can only be found here.
After the second-generation president, Yatogi Jiro, took over, the company focused on Tsukemen, which has now become so popular that it is said that "Menya Musashi is synonymous with Tsukemen."
