History and origins

Founded in 1952, Chuka Soba Koran is the original Regional ramen in Yamaguchi, called Kudamatsu Beef bone Ramen. It opened as a small Ramen store in front of the station in Kudamatsu, and after two relocations, it became a large Ramen store. The name of the shop, which has one character "Lan" from Lanzhou, China, is thought to suggest the origin of the Kudamatsu Ramen. Ramen The store's storefront states that the founder Yasuko Makita invented the idea of using something else that is not pork bones (tonkotsu) to make a different type of soup from the pork bone (tonkotsu) Ramen that she had eaten in Fukuoka.
